Aggregate Industries quarries, manufactures and supplies a wide range of materials to the construction industry. Operating across the UK, Channel Islands and Northern Europe, Aggregate Industries is also a member of the Holcim Group. In the UK they operate out of over 300 sites and have an approximate annual turnover of £1.5 billion. The Tom family started the business in the 1950's at Bardon Hill which is where the head office is based, but since 1997 the company has been in business as "Aggregate Industries".
In 1996 Aggregate Industries took steps to become the leader in environmental management and since 1997 have taken a systematic approach to the management of sustainability. This approach has evolved to produce different themes of their strategy such as Sustainable Construction, Carbon Management, Biodiversity Action Plans, Community Engagement, Employee Diversity and Futurepath.
